Mexico City in the 1960s
A great picture of Mexico City in the 1960s, from the Facebook page “La ciudad de México en el tiempo”
Imagen tomada en la Plaza de la República desde el camellón central que dividía los dos carriles abiertos al tránsito vehicular que pasaba justo frente al Monumento a la Revolución, en lo que hoy es parte de la explanada. Al fondo se aprecian, entre otros inmuebles, el edificio de la Lotería Nacional con su antena en espiral y la Torre Latinoamericana. Años sesenta.

Mexico City – La Glorieta de Insurgentes
This is the subway station I use most when I’m in Mexico City. It sits right between Roma and La Zona Rosa. Great picture from the 1970s from the Facebook page “La ciudad de México en el tiempo,” and a picture I took in November, 2009.
Great New Book – Mexican Portraits
A new book featuring portraits by Mexican photographers, covering the history of photography in Mexico. Lots of examples in this link (I’m sure it was just a coincidence that I chose the attractive woman for this post)… They’re all really wonderful.

When the line reaches this far, it’s about a 2 hour wait to get through U.S. Customs at San Ysidro.
